Alzheimer’s Society Privacy Policy for Crowdicity

Personal data – what is it?

Your personal data is information that identifies you; such as your date of birth or your address or describes you and reveals something about you, for example your health information, company email address or your opinions. However we are connected, Alzheimer’s Society will respect your privacy and your rights and only process information about you where it has a legitimate need to do so.

How we use your information

Alzheimer’s Society will use your personal information to engage with you about your ideas and comments posted within the Crowdicity Alzheimer’s Society community. In doing this we will be data controller for your personal data our lawful processing condition is legitimate interest. The personal data we will use is Name, Email Address, and user name. We do not share or sell your personal data to any 3rd parties, Crowdicity processes your data as a separate data controller.  Alzheimer’s Society does not process your personal information outside the European Economic Area. We will not export your data out of the platform it originates from Crowdicity Alzheimer’s Society community. The Society will use personal data not special category data for the above purposes.  Your data will not be used for any automated decision making. 

Tips on using our community

The information you post will be available to view by all community members as well as administrators from Crowdicity and Alzheimer’s Society; please do not post any personal information in the community. While we encourage you to make your post in the community exciting and engaging please do not post photographs unless you have permission to do so by the individuals pictured. Alzheimer’s Society encourages a friendly community; please do not post inappropriate content if your account id found to be violation of this your account and/or posts may be muted or removed.

  • See what information we hold on you
  • Request a portable copy of your information
  • Ask for corrections to be made
  • Ask us to stop using your information in any way.
